J. Henry, hails from the Jazz Capital of the World, New Orleans. This Crescent City native has been dazzling audiences across the U.S. for the last 29 years. Being recognized to have a gift for music since he was 9, J. studied under the mentorship of New Orleans Jazz Great Pierre Poree and Brian Graber, formerly of the Russell Batiste Band. Hurricane Katrina brought J. to Atlanta, where he continued to expand and perfect his signature sound. In 2010 after almost 2 years of writing and production, J. Henry released his appropriately entitled debut album, “Long Time Coming”. In 2014 J. Henry Jazz signed his first Major Record Deal with Spectra Music Group and immediately released his first single “Our Secret” for his Sophomore Album “Phenomenon” which J. Henry dubs the introduction to his alter ego “The Phenomenon”. Phenomenon was released Worldwide June 9th 2015. J. Henry recently completed his 3rd studio album “Evolutionary” September 25th,2018 which featured musical and vocal contributions from Legendary artist such Ralph Johnson, Sinbad, Gary Jenkins, Jasmine Burke, Rodney Perry and Marlon McClain, just to name a few. Also in the same year J. Henry released his first Christmas project “Soulful Christmas” a four song project with his single “The Christmas Song”. Currently J. Henry is working on his newest project “Conversation” his first vocal project. Introducing the world to his smooth Baritone timbre reminiscent of the great Barry White and Teddy Pendergrass. He has been dubbed as “The Velvet Voice” by his peers. The first single “Come See Me” produced by Marlon McClain and Rochad Holiday. was released Sept. 17th, 2019. J. Henry is also collaborating with Rockinchair Productions 2020, Ronald Laster and Soul De Lune on a musical project which has been released on many platforms. He is the featured lead vocalist on “Look at This World”, Soul De Lune’s very first single with video created by Roy Schneider of Vintage Production Group.
